LAUGHLIN, NEV. – Feb. X, 2016 – In an effort to help employees fulfill their New Year’s resolutions to lead healthier lifestyles, Aquarius Casino Resort is offering its annual Wellness Challenge. For the first time ever, the Resort is partnering with Bullhead City Health Club to offer free, three-month memberships to Aquarius team members and their spouses. Additionally, fitness and nutrition classes taught by owner of Bullhead City Health Club, Don Walker, will be held on property to ensure team members have a comprehensive guide to leading a healthier lifestyle.

Walker, the owner of two Bullhead City Health Club locations in Bullhead City and Fort Mohave, Arizona, has a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology and a Master of Business Administration. For the past 27 years he has worked as an exercise physiologist with numerous hospitals and universities, designing exercise and wellness programs for those that are medically obese and those suffering from a variety of health conditions.

During the 10-month-long competition, participants of the wellness challenge will compete to earn points in five categories, which include attending wellness classes, losing weight, decreasing body fat, exercising and improving on the five metabolic syndrome criteria. Progress will be recorded at the initial weigh-in and tracked during check-ins with health coach, Walker. The employee with the most points on Nov. 10 will be crowned the winner and will receive the grand prize of $1,200 cash, five days paid vacation, and five days and four nights in Sedona, Arizona
Runners-up will receive:
- Second place: $800 cash, four days paid vacation and four days and three nights in Reno, Nevada
- Third place: $300 cash, three days paid vacation and three days and two nights in Lake Arrowhead, California
- Fourth place: $200 cash, three days paid vacation and three days and two nights in Lake Havasu City, Arizona
